Public and shareholder expectations for safe, stable, and reliable operations are at an all-time high. Eliminating the risk of operational incidents is a priority goal. Operational excellence is the journey to that goal. Bill helps organizations and plant leadership revamp their cultures, attack complexity, and develop the competencies necessary to succeed. Every journey is unique. He has worked extensively with over a dozen companies throughout the process industries on customized solutions to enhance operational performance. Bill understands the importance of leadership, organizational competency, role clarity, and doing the basics well. In a career spanning more than 30 years with ExxonMobil, he worked at top corporate and plant levels both in the U.S. and globally to make the seemingly impossible happen. His experience is in line operations leadership, EHS management, procurement, project management, public affairs, and organizational improvement leadership. Over the last seven years, he has helped Pilko move to the forefront in troubleshooting and fixing operational performance gaps. He has developed and implemented improvement roadmaps to reduce operating risks and improve the level of organizational and individual performance in partnership with senior business leaders. He works closely with those leaders to create positive change in organization focus, operational practices, and competency development. Bill earned an MBA and a master's degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College. |
