Brenda Donnelly has 35 years’ experience in driving business performance and improvement in the Oil & Gas/Energy industry.  Brenda retired from Shell as Vice President, Asset Management Excellence, Global Deepwater where she was accountable to identify and drive systemic improvement related to production, maintenance, and HSSE across the global Deepwater organization. Brenda utilized internal and external benchmarks, key performance indicators, and expert advice to implement and embed best-in-class processes, capabilities, and technologies from within and outside of Shell. She represented Asset Management to the Executive Vice President and line of business leaders and played a significant role in talent development via coaching, teaching, and influencing line leader selection.

Prior to that, Brenda was Vice President, Discipline Engineering and Chief Discipline Engineer at Shell where she was accountable to ensure the short and long-term viability, capability and capacity of Discipline Engineering across  all Shell businesses globally. The Chief Engineer is recognized as highest technical authority within Royal Dutch Shell, and is also accountable for the content of the engineering development programs, competence assessment and technical assurance processes across Shell.

Brenda also held the role of Vice President Engineering-Americas where she led a team of over 350 discipline engineering staff providing technical expertise to assets and projects across all Shell businesses within the Americas region.

Early in Brenda’s career, she held several Engineering and Technology Management roles such as:

  • General Manager – Utilities and Heat Transfer
  • Regional Manager – Fluid Flow Solutions
  • Technical Manager – Base Chemicals

Brenda is passionate about asset management and leader development with focus on helping assets and people outperform against targets and continually improve.

Brenda received her Master of Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering, both from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA.
