Bruce Scott joins Pilko with 40 years of engineering, operating and project experience in the oil and gas industry.  He has broad exposure to retail, pipeline, refining and oilsands business with >10 relocations for domestic and international assignments.  Bruce is retired and was a Consultant for Becht Engineering in a variety of assignments including Exxon Sriracha refinery, the South Korean energy company, various major projects and Due Diligence assessments in Canada and the US.

Bruce worked at Syncrude Canada, Ft McMurray, Alta. Seconded from Imperial Oil as Executive start up advisor for 10 B$ Expansion and then as Vice President, Maintenance.

Bruce filled many positions at Imperial:

  • Engineering Division Manager, Refining and Supply; Refining Operations Advisor; Planning Manager; and Pipeline Senior Planner at Imperial Oil in Toronto.
  • Site Mechanical Services Manager; Mechanical Manager; Mechanical Superintendent at Imperial Oil, Sarnia Refining where he provided maintenance field services for refining operation.
  • Crude Oil Pricing Manager, Imperial Oil, Calgary.

Earlier in his career, Bruce filled the role as Project Executive at Exxon Mobil Mega Project to blend/connect Augusta and Agip Petroli refineries.  Before that, he was Technical Manager, Augusta Refinery, Italy at ExxonMobil/Esso Ialiana and held various Engineering positions in pipelines and marketing at Shell Canada (Toronto and Sudbury).

Bruce is on the association of Professional Engineers of Ontario; and Director and past president of the Sarnia Community Foundation.

Bruce received his Bachelor Of Mechanical Engineering from the Ryerson University, Toronto.
