Guy Hackwell, who recently retired as Chief Executive Officer of PEMEX Deer Park, aims to bring a balanced approach and a smile to everything he does. He believes that empowering people is the key to running a successful business. In his previous role, Guy led the site through the divestment of Shell’s refinery share to Pemex and was accountable for all items related to the PEMEX Deer Park business. He also led three other sites during M&A activities.

He has more than 35 years of experience. During his career he has worked in a variety of technical, business, and operational roles in the UK, The Netherlands, Kenya, Australia, Canada and most recently the USA.

Guy is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Birmingham (UK) and was a board member of the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) and several other Industry associations.

Guy is married and has two children. He is a British national (although he might sound Australian to some).
