Hansen Wang joins Pilko with 24 years working experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Hansen brings extensive knowledge on manufacturing site operations and has worked in various Chinese cities.

Hansen’s latest role was DOW Coating APR Site Logistic Improvement Leader responsible for site logistics and production planning team reorganization project implementation in 12 APR DOW sites.

Prior to that, he was site leader at the Sanshui site, where he provided overall leadership and integrated various functions (Operations, Technical, Logistic, HR, Site Finance) to ensure continuous performance improvement. He also developed mid-and long-term site manufacturing strategies to meet the growing business needs. While maintaining good relationships with local governmental agencies, the site was injury-free since startup while production volume expanded four times in five years.

Earlier, Hansen joined Rohm and Haas Beijing site as production manager, leading production unit reorganization, EHS, quality and productivity improvements. He then was appointed as operations manager responsible for building and starting-up Rohm and Haas’s new manufacturing site in Sanshui. He acted as key leader working with government agencies, business stakeholders and project team to ensure the new entity’s set-up, plant design, construction, workforce preparation and start-up were in full compliance with government regulations, corporate standards and business strategy. He continued to play the role of manufacturing leader after a successful start-up.

Hansen began his career at ATOFINA as a process engineer and then production manager in Wuhan. He relocated to the Beijing site as EHSQ Manager, participating in a new plant start-up and defining HSEQ systems complying with Chinese regulations and Corporate HSE and quality control requirements.

Hansen received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree of Polymer Materials from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
