Jack Davis joins Pilko with 46 years of experience in operations, control and consulting in the refining and petrochemical industries gained while working at operating companies (Conoco, Champlin, Ultramar) and technology companies (Profimatics, Honeywell, and Aspen Technology). He began his career as a process engineer specializing in refining and gas processing technology at Conoco and then, while working at Champlin’s Wilmington Refinery, transitioned to unit control (DCS), advanced process control (APC) and multi-unit optimization.
In 2005, Jack co-founded his own consulting company, Resources2 Energy (R2E), and spent the next 15 years consulting worldwide on operational excellence, value chain management, energy cost reduction, and margin improvement programs for LNG, Refining, and Petrochemical plants. At R2E, Jack led the Performance Improvement Practice until he left the firm at the end of 2020.
Jack continues to work as a consultant providing expert assistance in energy management, process optimization, digitization, and the transition to sustainable fuels for LNG, downstream refineries, renewable diesel startups and petrochemical companies around the world.
In addition to a BS in ChE from the University of New Mexico and an MS in Control Theory from the University of Arizona, Jack is a registered professional engineer in CA and TX.
