Jason Stowell is a performance-driven Senior HSE professional with over 25 years of leadership experience in energy projects and operations, culminating in a successful tenure at ExxonMobil.  In his most recent corporate role as Regional Safety Support Manager, Jason managed a global team of senior advisors across various business lines, including upstream, refining, chemicals, and pipelines. His leadership was pivotal in setting safety strategies and optimizing SHE systems, significantly improving safety performance.  While at ExxonMobil, he worked in domestic and international safety leadership roles that spanned large projects, refining, and upstream production. His international experience included extensive work in Russia, Kazakhstan, and China, leading both expat and local teams.

Starting his energy career at ConocoPhillips Alliance Refinery, he was crucial in developing and implementing comprehensive HSE strategies that led to the refinery’s first VPP certification. From there, he moved to a safety leadership role at Ferndale Refinery in Washington state, broadening his expertise to include emergency response.

His expertise in hazard identification and risk assessment was further demonstrated during his time at Flint Hills Resources, where he successfully brought new proactive safety practices to a recently acquired asset.

Throughout his career, Jason has been recognized for his ability to build positive safety cultures across multinational teams and effectively engage workers. His commitment to sustainability and safety excellence is evident in his strategic program development and execution, emergency response management, and incident investigation skills. His diverse background and passion for creating safer work environments position him as a safety leader.

Jason holds a master’s degree in Sustainability from Arizona State University, a bachelor’s degree from LSU, and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
