Jeff Edwards joins Pilko with 35+ years’ experience in the chemical industry.  He retired from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company in May 2024. In his last role, Jeff served as the Global Process Safety Manager. He had accountability for the process safety performance of the company. He drove improvements at facilities around the world and helped CPChem achieve top tier performance during his tenure. His teams developed a human performance program and implemented it company-wide. They developed creative risk management processes that were effective in identifying and reducing hidden frontline risks.

Jeff’s previous assignments were operations management roles at various ethylene and derivative facilities, both union and non-union.  He had responsibility and accountability for safe reliable operations of each facility. During these roles, Jeff’s teams focused on strategic planning and disciplined implementation to achieve targets while minimizing risks.

Prior to joining CPChem, Jeff worked at Lyondell Chemical Company. He held various operations and business leadership roles. He also participated on the supply chain merger and acquisition team during the creation of Equistar Chemicals.

Jeff serves on the Leadership Board for the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. He also served as a Director of the Ethylene Producer’s Committee of the chemical industry.

He and his wife have three sons. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, traveling and boating. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from The University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Houston.
