Jeff Garry

Jeff Garry has 35 years’ experience working and consulting in the chemicals and specialty chemicals industry. He has been engaged on many buy-side and sell-side operational due diligence assessments throughout the divestiture process. He also has significant experience with post-acquisition assignments to drive operational improvements, coach operations leadership, and support integration activities with parent companies. Jeff has also served as an interim business unit Operations Director with multi-site oversight and interim Site Director roles.
Prior to working as a consultant/advisor, Jeff retired from Dow in 2020 as the Houston Operations Director and Performance Monomers Manufacturing Director. Within this role Jeff was responsible for Dow’s Houston ship channel sites including approximately 2500 Dow employees and contractors with an asset base of $7.5B, as well as global operations for Performance Monomers. Jeff had well over a decade of experience leading global operations of business units for Dow Chemical & Rohm and Haas Company. He is recognized for being a visionary leader who creates innovative ideas that solve challenging problems and enhance competitive edge. Jeff has extensive international experience, including 2 expatriate assignments and having direct responsibility for manufacturing plants in 12+ countries, primarily in the U.S., Western Europe, and China.
Starting his career with Rohm and Haas in Deer Park, TX his early roles were in project management, engineering, and maintenance in various locations globally. In 2001, Jeff was named to the Deer Park Maintenance and Reliability Manager role, which was the largest site in Rohm and Haas. In 2004, he moved to a Plant Manager and regional manufacturing manager role in the Powder Coatings business in Reading, PA. From 2007-2020 Jeff served in several global business manufacturing/operations and large site director roles for both Rohm and Haas and then Dow Chemical.
Jeff has a breadth of technology experience having worked in multiple business units over his career including world scale Acrylate and Methacrylate manufacturing plants (including sulfuric acid, hydrogen cyanide, acrolein, acrylic acid, acrylate and methacrylate production plants), Acrylic emulsions, Powder Coatings, and biocides (glutaraldehyde and isothiazolinones).
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
