Niall Keppie joins Pilko & Associates, providing M&A advisory services and executive and leadership coaching to senior leaders and boards.

Niall brings more than 25 years of international business and leadership experience, including over a decade leading complex mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures around the world, with transaction values ranging from $50 million to $20 billion. He has advised and partnered with private, corporate, financial, and governmental stakeholders to deliver material value through critical ownership transitions.

Niall spent 27 years with Shell, where he started his career in process engineering and operations management of oil refineries and chemicals plants followed by roles in corporate strategy and leading large-scale transformation programmes. He subsequently held senior leadership roles in M&A, heading Shell’s Downstream M&A team for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India and its Renewable Energy M&A team for the Americas, leading multi-billion-dollar transactions across traditional energy, renewables, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

Niall is also an Executive and Leadership Coach, supporting leaders navigating pivotal moments, organisational change, and high-pressure environments. Drawing on deep personal experience, his coaching approach is built on transparent, supportive, and appropriately challenging conversations, helping leaders strengthen resilience, elevate performance, and deliver sustained business results.

An English-German bilingual, Niall loves supporting individuals and businesses across a diverse range of countries and cultures.  He holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and has trained as an Executive Coach at the Hult-Ashridge business school.
