Odeh Khoury joins Pilko with 32 years’ experience in the energy and chemical industries.  Odeh is a non-executive Board Director of Vertex Energy (Nasdaq: VTNR), where he serves as the Chairman of the Risk Committee and as a member of the Audit, Compensation and Nominating & ESG Committees.

Between 2016-2021, Odeh served as the Americas Regional Vice President of Commercial – Refined Products Trading, Supply, Distribution for Shell Oil Products / Trading US Co., and was a member of Shell’s Global Products Trading & Supply Executive Leadership team. He led all regional commercial, supply, and logistics activities across 35 refined products terminals, including direct P&L responsibility, value chain optimization, price risk management, business development and origination, bio/renewable fuels program compliance and optimization, and overall leadership of Shell’s US Downstream Fuels Integrated Business Units. Prior to that, he served as Vice President & General Manager of the Motiva Convent, Louisiana Refinery (Motiva Enterprises: a former JV between Shell Oil Products & Saudi Aramco). From 2011 to 2013, he held the position of Senior Operations Director for the Motiva & Shell Norco, Louisiana Petrochemical Complex. Previously in 2009-2010, Odeh served as the US Gulf Coast Regional Director of Strategic Business Improvement – Refining & Chemicals for Shell Oil Products US Co., where he was responsible for strategic improvements across their refining and chemicals portfolio.

In the preceding three years, he served as Director – Strategy & Business Development for Supply & Distribution with Motiva Enterprises. From 1991 to 2005, he held various technical, operational, and commercial roles of increasing scope and responsibilities with Shell Oil Products US Co.

Between 2011 and 2021, Odeh served on several boards and trade associations, including Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA), Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA), National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), First Coast Energy LLC in Jacksonville, FL., TriStar Energy LLC in Nashville, Tennessee and as Shell’s Senior Executive Member on the American Petroleum Institute (API) Downstream Committee.

Odeh obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Odeh and his wife Brandi have two children and reside in Houston, Texas.
