Ms. Parinyaporn Raksawid (Gig) is a highly accomplished process safety, operational excellence, and capital project leader with more than 25 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry across Asia-Pacific. She has extensive expertise in process safety management, risk assessment, manufacturing improvement, capital project execution, regulatory compliance, and organizational leadership gained through progressive roles with Dow Chemical and Rohm and Haas.

Gig recently retired as Business Process Safety Technology Leader for Dow’s DCM/DPA APAC manufacturing operations, where she was responsible for the development, deployment, and governance of process safety technologies, management systems, and hazard assessment methodologies that protect people, assets, and the environment across multiple manufacturing sites. Her leadership included facilitation of Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Layers of Protection Analyses (LOPA), risk assessments, compliance audits, incident investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Previously, Ms. Raksawid served as APAC Regional Improvement Leader for Process Safety, where she led the implementation of critical process safety initiatives throughout the region, including Accelerated Risk Reduction (ARR) programs, Loss Prevention Principles (LPP), Process Safety Deep Drills (PSDD), Monomer Code assessments, and Code of Safe Manufacturing Practices (COSMP) reviews. She led a major regional risk-reduction initiative that successfully achieved a 50% reduction in identified Camelot scenarios while driving improvements in capital efficiency and project execution.

Her career also includes leadership roles as APAC Regional Small Capital Project Manager, Regional Improvement Engineer for Southeast Asia, and Improvement Engineer for Dow’s Map Ta Phut Coating Plant, where she directed capital planning, project portfolio management, manufacturing improvement initiatives, process safety program implementation, and new product commercialization efforts. Throughout these assignments, she developed and executed multi-year capital investment strategies, supported facility debottlenecking and expansion projects, and consistently delivered improvements in safety, operational reliability, production capacity, and product quality.

Prior to Dow’s acquisition of Rohm and Haas, Ms. Raksawid held positions as Technical Supervisor, Production Coordinator, and Process Engineer, where she led manufacturing excellence initiatives, process optimization programs, control system upgrades, project commissioning activities, and yield improvement efforts. She was actively involved in implementing 21st Century Manufacturing methodologies and served as a regional representative for manufacturing best-practice development and deployment.

Ms. Raksawid’s technical expertise encompasses Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), risk mitigation, Management of Change (MOC), incident investigation, compliance auditing, emergency response planning, process control systems, safety instrumented systems, and capital project management. She is recognized for her ability to build alignment among cross-functional teams, drive disciplined execution of complex initiatives, and embed sustainable process safety cultures within operating organizations.

Ms. Raksawid holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (Computer Process Control) from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mahidol University, both in Thailand. She is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader, a Process Safety Auditor for EH&S Integrated Audits, and an RCI Lead facilitator. She is fluent in Thai and English, with working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
