Paul Barletta joins Pilko with 42 years of wide-ranging experience in manufacturing and leadership. He is a talented executive and brings a wealth of expertise with particular strengths in areas such as safety, environmental conservation, product quality, customer service, process reliability, unit cost, and retaining highly skilled and engaged workforces. Paul is trained and experienced in many management processes: EHS systems, reengineering, ISO, quality processes, capital project management, LEAN Six Sigma, high performance work teams, reliability centered maintenance, media relations, diversity programs, learning organizations, personal transformation, etc.

Paul recently stepped away from leading a global manufacturing network with locations on four continents. He has led six specific organizations of various sizes in union and non-union sites through restructuring and/or acquisition resulting in performance improvements by every measure. Paul has led the implementation of “Manufacturing Excellence” processes into 30 sites in six different businesses.  Manufacturing Excellence encompasses LEAN, Toyota, Cultural Transformation, Leadership Behavior, etc. skills in creating standard work processes with a high level of employee engagement. Paul’s organizations have achieved top 10% industry performance in EHS, while bringing their businesses significant improvements in OTIF, reliability, and quality with fixed and variable cost reductions.

Prior to his global leadership role, Paul led the US region and served in several site leadership positions.  He led sites with small batch processes and large continuous processes. His sites employed up to 400 people, produced up to a billion pounds of product annually, and had budgets up to 200 million USD.  Paul has also served on Corporate wide Steering Teams for EHS and Quality improvements.

In addition to his executive career, Paul served on the Board of Directors and is a Past Chairman of the Louisiana Chemical Association. He was Chairman of the Public Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committees of the LCA. Paul was also a member of the River Region Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee.

Paul’s community work included United Way, Church School Board member, St. Charles Parish Zoning Board of Adjustment member, Partners in Education advocate, Scouting, Church ministries, and North Shore Hockey League (not-for-profit 501(c)(3)) Board member.

Paul has extensive political experience in several Senatorial and Gubernatorial campaigns. He was also elected to the Parish (County) Party Executive Committee.

Paul Barletta obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University in Michigan. He was President of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Student Chapter there. Paul also holds a Transportation Worker Identification Credential from the TSA/Department of Homeland Security.
