Through a career that spanned over 38 years at Enbridge and Union Gas, Paul gained extensive experience in operations, engineering and sales through a variety of roles with progressively increasing responsibilities. His leadership experience includes field and technical leadership, program management and policy development. He held several executive positions including Vice President of Distribution Operations and Vice President, Engineering of Construction and Storage and Transmission Operations at Union Gas, and Vice President of Enterprise Asset and Work Management at Enbridge.

Paul is a dynamic business leader, strategic thinker and practitioner in the advanced disciplines of Operational Excellence. He has extensive experience in leading large and complex organizations through periods of significant growth, business transformation, and systemic improvement. He possesses well developed business, operational and leadership skills, is a passionate coach and mentor successfully motivating large teams in ever changing business environments. Paul has led with energy, creativity and commitment while continuing to meet new and demanding challenges in large, sophisticated organizations. Paul’s expertise includes executive leadership, strategy and execution, business transformation, major capital projects, engineering, crisis leadership, critical infrastructure resilience, and operations, including operational governance and operational effectiveness.

Paul was also recognized as an industry thought leader and a frequent presenter at industry and association conferences, and government and regulatory hearings and forums. Over the years Paul has been active in the energy industry through his engagement as a member of the American Gas Association Operations Managing Committee. He is a founding member of the Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance, and is past chair of the Canadian Gas Association’s Standing Committee on Operations and the Ontario’s Technical Standards and Safety Authority’s Natural Gas Advisory Council. In addition, he served as a member of the Executive Advisory Board for FIRST Robotics Canada and has served on numerous community organizations including the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, Windsor and District Chamber of Commerce, the Arthritis Society, Junior Achievement, and the United Way.

Paul obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario in 1982 and a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours Business Administration from the University of Windsor in 2000.
