After nearly 37 years with BASF Corporation, Ron retired from BASF in April of 2022. Ron’s last assignment with BASF was at BASF’s Freeport, TX Site where he held the position of Site Services Director. In Ron’s last role, he was responsible for site Utilities, laboratories and site logistics.

In Ron’s tenure with BASF, he has worked at five different BASF sites in North America. He has served as a Site Manager at three BASF sites, including two years as the Site Manager for BASF’s Canadian OEM paint plant in Windsor, Canada. Ron has worked in multiple technologies ranging from specialty chemicals to large petrochemical plants. Ron spent nine years at BASF’s JV Ethylene Complex in Port Arthur, TX where he was responsible for all plant operations. Ron’s responsibility included the start-up, commissioning, and ongoing operations of over $1.3B of assets, including a grassroots, world-scale olefins and C4 Complex. All assets were operated in a JV structure, so Ron has extensive experience working within complex organizations.

Ron has extensive experience in plant operations, site strategy development, site selection, and site management. He has a deep understanding of site leadership, site culture and foundational EHS best practices.

Ron is a firm believer in community involvement and is now serving on the Board of Regents for Brazosport Community College in Lake Jackson, TX.

Ron has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
