Sherry Jiang joins Pilko with broad experience in R&D technology, manufacturing and operations, joint-venture management, project management and business development in MNC. Sherry has effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; and has over 27 years of work experience with 17 years in Asia/China and 10 years in US; In depth understanding both US and local culture and business practices.

Sherry retired from Dow Chemical Company with dual roles. As the Legal Rep and Chairman of the Board in Beijing/Shanghai Eastern where she was responsible for JV operation (60/40 JV Dow/Sinopec) in full compliance with all local laws and regulations, for ensuring financial and business operation to maximize shareholder values, and determining directions for future JV operation and expansion/investment strategy. She was also the key person to manage relationship with Chinese partners/government agencies, and to resolve conflicts and critical issues.

As Director of Business Development, Acrylic Envelop Asia Pacific at Dow in China. She studied and identified new trends in related industry for Dow Acrylic Envelop businesses and assisted senior management on strategy setting; developed business opportunities for the Dow Acrylic Envelop businesses in new applications and/or geographies and led projects for new business models and new product lines.

Prior to that, Sherry was Global Improvement Leader and Director for Coatings Technology Center Asia Pacific. There, she developed and implemented technology plans and KPI for continuous improvements in EHS, process technology, and operation efficiencies for business manufacturing networks; managed regional business capital budget planning and spending for both continuous operations and new expansions; and established and led Coatings Process Technology Center in China for new product/process development, scale-up, and manufacturing support.

In her earlier career, Sherry filled the roles of Plant Manager at Beijing Eastern Rohm and Haas Co.; Technical Director at Beijing/Shanghai Eastern Rohm and Haas Co. in China; as well as Senior Scientist and Group Leader at Spring House Technical Centers, Rohm & Haas Co. in Pennsylvania, PA. In that role, she worked in various departments in the company R&D headquarters and led high profile R&D programs.  She was responsible for new product and process development, scale-up, and commercialization per business requirements.

Along with The Wharton Management Program in 2000, Sherry also graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA; a M. S. in Chemistry from Beijing Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Polymer Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Sherry is fluent in English and Mandarin and is a US citizen with China Permanent Residence status.
