Steve Weinberg has over 34 years of chemicals manufacturing and technical experience with Rohm and Haas and Dow Chemical.  He held various technical and leadership positions including plant technical service, maintenance and reliability technical leadership, capital project design and implementation, and new batch product and process scale-up.

Steve has experience with production technologies for sulfuric acid, solution polymers, and batch and continuous monomers manufacturing plants including world-scale acrylic and methacrylic monomer production facilities. He was also Dow’s subject matter expert for the safe handling, transportation, and storage of monomers and was responsible for managing and implementing the company’s monomer handling standards and ensuring plants and logistics facilities complied with safe handling practices.  This included participation with intercompany committees to develop and publish industry guidelines for safe monomer handling.

Steve has been an advisor for Pilko since 2021 and has participated in several buy-side and sell-side due diligence projects.  Two of the more significant projects include:

• Sell-side due diligence for an ethylene producer
• Buy-side due diligence for a multi-national polyethylene/ polypropylene/ PVC business

Steve graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his wife, and he is an avid cyclist.
